feeding tube placement

Feeding tube placement is a wonderful tool for patients unable to eat or drink on their own. Enteral nutrition is vital in critical patients to ensure a speedy return to health and also allow delivery of oral medications when this can otherwise be challenging. Oesophagostomy tubes are helpful in the management of patients with oropharyngeal disease, cats with Hepatic lipidosis and animals with Chronic Kidney Disease. PEG tubes are placed endoscopically and secured to the body wall. They are particularly useful in patients with nasty Oesophageal disease such as those with Oesophagitis following Oesophageal foreign body removal. Insight comes prepared with the equipment to place feeding tubes in your patients along with individualised nutrition plans.
